Welcome to the website of Andy Pye, PGA Golf Professional.  I'm based at Portmore Golf Park just outside Barnstaple where we have a 23 bay floodlit driving range, a fantastic short game area, a par 3 9 hole course which is ideal for beginners, and a testing 18 hole par 71 course which has fantastic views over the North Devon countryside.  I offer a wide range of coaching from complete beginners to experienced amateurs and professionals, individual or in a group.  If you can't find the information on my website, or if you have any questions you would like to ask me, please don't hesitate to contact me by phone or email, and I will be more than happy to help.

I have become one of the first in the country to offer clients the Zenio Putting System.  A revolutionary new system developed by German engineers to assist with putting coaching.  The state of the art system is being widely used by the worlds top professionals to improve their putting technique and reduce the number of puts per round.  Notably Justin Rose has shot up the world rankings after just a short period of using the Zenio system, and Darren Clarke put improved putting down as the factor which won him the Open Championship in 2011, thanks to the Zenio system.

Sessions are £35 and available throughout the week, please make sure you say that you are booking a Zenio session when you call as these are 1 hour long instead of the usual 40 minutes.  You can also download the Zenio app before your session so you can have the information sent straight to your phone.

Portmore's Junior Acaedemy is going from strength to strength with the winning of the Basil Steer Trophy, The Henry Truscott Trophy and the Devon Junior League.  This never been done before achievement is a result of very hard work by the team and everyone involved in the junior section at Portmore.

And the future's looking bright with over 50 younger juniors taking part in the academy coaching every week, right from the age of 4.

For more information on children joining the academy, please follow the junior academy tab at the top of the page.

This year myself and Josh - the head greenkeeper at Portmore, are taking on the challenge of completing an Ironman to raise money for the Children's Hospice South West, a fantastic local charity which relies on donations to help the fantastic work they do with children.  As part of this, I will be taking on teams of 2 people in a head to head over 9 holes on a Friday.  At the end of the season, the team who has done the best against me will receive a prize and trophy.

The format will be 1/4 handicap, betterball matchplay.  It will cost £10pp which will go to the Children's Hospice.  Please email me to arrange a date if you think you are up to the challenge.
